Australian duo Rest For The Wicked have delivered their new single, Fade Away. The release follows up their self-titled debut EP, which arrived mid-last year.
The musical project of Melbourne artist Ben Townsend and Sydney based producer Tasker, the track continues the duos genre-bending sonic exploration, leaning into garage and pop influences to create a dynamic cut that will be stuck in your head for weeks to come. Tasker's textural production simmers beneath Townsend's engaging performance, continuing to earn their place as one of Australia's most exciting emerging acts.
“We made Fade Away with the intention of just having fun & I think the song speaks for itself. It’s a very self-reflective yet motivating song to do what you want, when you want & don’t let someone else tell you any different. Be free.” Townsend shares.
Tasker adds: “I can’t remember writing this song. I don’t know what it’s about. I don’t even know where I am right now. All I know is that it has two chords and brings the demon out of everyone when we play it live”
