The musical project of Harry Alexiadis, Get Dizzy serves as the first taste of solo music from the musician, acting as a standalone release before a larger body of work later in the year. Conceptually, the track dissects the ignorant nature of youth, and how our personal choices form our identity and broader aspects of life. Fusing together a variety of influences, Alexiadis arrives at his own unique sonic blend of indie and alternative, with subtle psychedelic threads.
Speaking of the track, Alexiadis shares exclusively with MILKY: "Get Dizzy was my secret little summer project and initially meant to be the lead single from an EP I had been working on. Although the song was organically conceived through an expansive and at times quirky pot of musical inspiration, when it came to recording the track I was painfully aware of its dimensions and how it would take shape. Carefully crafting it to not become verbose or overly technical, but to allow the song breathing space and the underlying rhythm to shine through. I decided to release Get Dizzy as a stand-alone debut single, as it seemed fitting to serve the song up as it’s own piece rather than one from a larger body of works, but you can definitely expect a lot more music from me in the not to distant future."
Working purely as a solo artist after leaving his band, Alexiadis takes an introspective approach to recording and producing, performing and programming all instruments and vocals himself, before mixing and mastering the track.
