PHOTO DIARY: TEINA TAKES US BEHIND-THE-SCENES OF 'F.M.Y'

Perth-based indie artist Teina has dropped his new single, F.M.Y. To celebrate the release, the musician is giving us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into creating the track.

“I wrote this song for a couple of people I don’t get to see anymore, it’s my most meaningful song, but I want people to hear it and have their own meaning to it… whether it be a break up or a friend they fell out with, it’s a huge song I feel like it has the power for that.” Teina shares. “This song came to [life] over a couple of months; I started writing it for my friend that passed and didn’t quite finish until another loved one of mine passed. It was an emotional song for me to get through and create but it means the world to me and I hope they hear it every time I perform it.”

This is one of the first shots while recording F.M.Y. This was taken at my mate Conor’s house while getting some vocals in. Where it would go on to be the actual take of the song.

A flick of Jake getting the guitar in, me and Jake have been playing this song for a year or two before even getting this recorded so it was great to get it set in stone.
