Sydney-based duo Royel Otis have just wrapped up their European tour hot off the release of their latest single, Adored. We were there in Paris to capture all the action when the band took to the stage Supersonic.
Playing tracks from their three EP's Campus, Bar & Grill and Sofa Kings, Royel Otis brought their signature charm to the stage. Armed with infectious riffs, sing-a-long melodies and and a nostalgia drenched palette, the duo captivated their devoted audience as Paris sizzled on a warm summers night. “Paris was a blast of sweat and fun, thanks to everyone who came” Royel Otis share.
Last month, the band released their new single, Adored. Produced and mixed by Grammy Award-winning producer, Dan Carey (Wet Leg), the track brings their signature indie sensibilities, whilst a surf-rock infused guitar melody unfurls beneath vocalist Otis Pavlovic's hypnotic vocals. "Adored is about taking time for some DIY TLC. Treat yourself with some leisurely pleasure. Don’t let it bring you down, it’s only castles burning." the duo share of their latest offering.
Royel Otis will cap off the year with a number of festival slots, performing at Yours & Owls in Wollongong, Someday Soon in Sydney, and Spilt Milk in Canberra, the Gold Coast, Ballarat and Perth. The duo are also set to support DMAs on their national tour in Newcastle, Brisbane and Bokarina. Next year, they'll head to North America for a run of rescheduled headline shows. Tickets are on sale now.
The musical project of Otis Pavlovic and Royel Maddell began upon the latter returning home after living in New York and finding himself working at a bar. Here, he had a chance encounter with Pavlovic who was fresh our of school. One night, Pavlovic showed Maddell his demos and the rest is history.
Adored is out now!
