MARSHMELLO & HALSEY DROP MUSIC VIDEO FOR ‘BE KIND’

Marshmello and Halsey have dropped their dreamy new music video for their collaboration, Be Kind. The track was released in May and was followed up by two lyric videos.

Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the video was filmed during quarantine with the singer learning the routine, choreographed by Dani Vitale (whom she has previously collaborated with on Graveyard), via FaceTime. The clip, filmed in front of a green screen, was filmed using a Bolt Camera Robot. Through employing the camera, all camera movements were programmed beforehand, meaning no human was physically on set to operate the camera.

In the clip, Halsey can be seen gracefully dancing throughout an industrial building before waking up in colourful and surreal anime and Japanese inspired landscapes. The singer, who had a broken ankle during filming, revealed to fans on Twitter that the video draws inspiration from Japan’s Sakura season, when cherry blossoms bloom in Kyoto.

Earlier this week, the singer announced the release of her first collection of poems, titled I Would Leave Me If I Could.
