Møme and Ricky Ducati have shared the visual for their latest single, Flamingo, recorded simultaneously from Paris and LA. Taken from the duos new collaborative album Flashback FM, the track draws on a myriad of influences from disco, soul, RnB and pop.
Speaking of the visual, the duo share: "Flamingo is inspired by our trips to Palm Springs California. Much of Palm Springs remains untouched from the 1950's/1960's era and a few of the vintage stores still sell yard flamingos which we always found very charming. The song itself is about someone who spots a crush on the dancefloor and after experiencing love at first sight they realize the crush has disappeared from sight. They spend the rest of the night searching the club longing to connect once again- Ricky's original demo was a slow low key vibe and Jérémy's production gives an upbeat infectious rhythm that provides the charm it was lacking. The studio performance was one of our favorites especially because Ricky could let loose and do his own version of a classic nightclub performer. The song is just fun to dance to and we hope that comes through on the video."
Flashback FM is a homage to the past, a glorious kaleidoscopic trip back in time through the halcyon musical lineage of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Møme and Ricky shared some words about what the album is all about: "Flashback FM album is a culmination of music inspired by past eras and set inside the buzzing scene of Los Angeles during the 1970's and 1980's. Although situated across the globe from different cultures, through technology we've been able to achieve a single vision of our past with a record that could only be created today." they share.
