Sydney based trio Loretta have treated fans with the release of their new single, when i saw u. Bringing a more organic approach to their signature synth-pop sounds, the guitar-led track explore themes of acceptance and self-realisation within a blossoming relationship. The track arrives alongside an official visual, directed by Chris Lanzon
Speaking of the song, frontman Ellis Hall shares: “when i saw u is a chapter on acceptance and forgetting what made you feel so lost in the past. It’s basically about how there’s no substitute for physically being in the same room with somebody - the moment when all of the fights and misinterpreted texts fall away at the sight of the person you love.”
“We wanted to really capture the feeling of music with this video. We got together with Chris [Lanzon] and came up with the idea for the video pretty quickly, drawing themes from the song and some external references to help capture something really meaningful. The process was also really enjoyable, had a bunch of our friends there, the energy was really high and once we had everyone’s roles and parts down, we got it all done in a few takes.” the band say of the songs visual.
Forming in 2018, Loretta have dropped a string of feel-good singles, with their debut release, Come Over, gaining over 500,000 worldwide streams. To celebrate release of new music, the four-piece will take to the stage for an exclusive performance at Sydney's The Lansdowne Hotel on December 2. Tickets are on sale now!
