Singer/songwriter Lauren Auder has debuted the beautifully cinematic visual for her new single, Heathen.
Directed by Layo Mussi, we see the musician within a series of mesmerising backdrops, from being submerged in a pond to ambling beside a blazing bonfire, to gazing out a fogged window as she rides through the countryside. The musicians presence within each setting captivates viewers, whilst also mesmerising them with the vivid scenery.
Taken from Auder's latest EP, 5 Songs for the Dysphoric, the musician describes Heathen as “my favourite song I’ve ever worked on,” Auder explains that the song is about “longing for a test run before life proper. Learning to accept that all we get is a 9-month-long bomb shelter before you’re very much in the world.”
5 Songs for the Dysphoric is out now! Watch the music video below.
