Every Single Dream is out now!

Eora/Sydney’s Jet City Sports Club have unveiled their sophomore EP, Every Single Dream. To celebrate the release, each band member has shared with MILKY their favourite song off the release.

“The new EP is a collection of songs that are extensions of us, and the experiences being in this band has created. We named it Every Single Dream as it’s a bit ambiguous, and people can attach their meaning to it when they’ve heard the songs and made their own relationship with the EP. It also has a sort of second meaning where we see this band as a vehicle to accomplish every single one of our dreams.” the band share of the EP.

Next month, Jet City Sports Club will hit the road on a national tour. Kicking off in Sydney on April 13, the run of shows will continue on to the Hunter Valley, Ballarat, Geelong, Brisbane, Miranda, Dee Why, the Central Coast and Port Macquarie, before wrapping up in Coffs Harbour on June 17. Tickets are on sale now!

LILLA

My Everything - I started writing this song after I had a nightmare where my partner got struck by lightning. I still remember the dream vividly. It felt so real and it happened right out the front of our house. I remember waking up and moving closer into their warmth. It reminded me to never take anything for granted and cherish the little things. The verse lyrics are about the small and simple things that we do together that make us happy and make us feel safe and warm in each other's company. It’s a love song that comes from feeling the fear of loss that makes you know, more than anything, that you never want to feel that loss. It’s definitely my favourite because it’s very close to my heart.

SEB

My Everything - the way the heartfelt lyrics hit made me feel really emotional. The song was born from a dream Lilla had but the way the lyrics evolved into becoming a beautiful story of everyday love, with lines reflecting the small yet intimate parts of a relationship like “pick up pizza on the way home, let’s watch our TV show” and “call me when you get home safely”. I just found it so relatable and beautiful, reflecting the more common parts of love and relationships that are the core of everything. I think this song just hits an absolute spot for me, and the more electronic influenced instrumentation with a breakbeat style drum line absolutely brought it home.

JACK

Sunny Morning is my favourite song from the EP because I’ve loved seeing it grow from a bedroom jam to a fully flushed out song that people are really starting to love at gigs. It’s such a feel good song that references so many influences of ours sonically which I love.
