Australian producer Jafunk has enlisted singer Dana Williams and rapper Mike Nasa on his new banger, Weekend Love. Bringing soulful grooves, the track tells the tale of a fun and carefree casual encounter.
Built upon groovy bass lines, bouncy drums, funky guitars and lush analog synths, the musician captures all the fun and charisma of the 70s and 80s disco and funk era, threading hints of modern electronic production. With soulful hooks and honeyed vocals from Williams, juxtaposed by Nasa's captivating rhymes.
“Sometimes the best strategy in life is to not take things too seriously, let your hair down and just do what feels good, and this was exactly the approach we took when making this track” Jafunk shares.
Following his remix of Set Mo’s Chasing Forever, the producer has been hitting stages worldwide, touring across Australia and Europe, before setting up shop in Berlin to pursue music as his full-time career.
