Jack Davies and The Bush Chooks are heading east, bringing their live show to New South Wales and Victoria later this month! The WA folk storytellers have spent the last year performing across their home state, with their upcoming east coast tour marking the bands first trip over east since two packed out BIGSOUND showcases and a number of tours in 2019.
Kicking off in Sydney, the group will play a string of shows in Euroa, before rounding the tour out in Melbourne. Recently, Jack Davies and The Bush Chooks hosted their debut “Jamboree” event - an in-the-round celebration curated by the band featuring poets, bands, markets, ambient sound zones and more.
Since releasing their first single at the end of 2018, the group have gained over 2 million streams on Spotify, as well as radio play across the country. Accolades have poured in too, with the group scoring WAM’s “Best Folk Act” and a National Live Music Award for “Best Live Act in WA” in 2019. In 2020, they were awarded the WAM Song of the Year Grand Prize Runner Up and Country Music Song of the Year for their single Half Frozen Beer.
