INTRODUCING ZHR

Watch our interview with Zachary Hamilton-Reeves below!

Northeast Party House frontman Zachary Hamilton-Reeves has unveiled the first taste of his new solo project, ZHR, with his debut single, Something Ain’t Right. We caught up with the musician to chat about the release, his new sound, launching SEVEN SEVEN and so much more!

Pivoting away from his established dance realm with Northeast Party House, Something Ain’t Right introduces us to Hamilton-Reeves' lush fusion of R&B and alt-pop. Penned in Feburary 2020 and co-produced with Dave Hammer, the thrilling track explores uneasy feelings that arise within a relationship, where things no longer feel natural. Laced with vulnerable lyrics that shows a new side to the musician, the song pairs this more personal offering is paired with hypnotic and beguiling sonics.

Hip-hop drum beats boom below Hamilton-Reeves' mesmerising vocals, whilst dissonant guitar melodies mirror the songs uneasy conceptual nature. The track arrives alongside an official visual, brought to life with director Joel Fenton, D.O.P. Jordan Kaye and producer – Liam Harrington. We meet the musician in a variety of natural and vibrant settings, juxtaposing natural elements against each other.

With more music on the horizon, Something Ain’t Right sets the scene for more scintillating moments from your new favourite artist.
