NYC-based duo Wilmah recently dropped their glistening new single, Dead To Me. We went on a stroll with the duo through Williamsburg and spoke about the release, their artistry, crafting their sound and so much more!
Penned in 2020, Dead To Me explores the cyclical nature of relationships that meet their demise and how you can go from knowing each other in an intimate way to being strangers once more. Vocalist Matt Connolly's polished vocal brings catchy ear-worm melodies to life, above a captivating soundscape fuelled by the duos alt-pop sonic palette. The release arrives alongside an official visual, directed and edited by Alec Ilstrup, which follows two individuals as they plot to steal Wilmah's hearts.
The musical project of Buffalo natives Connolly and Will O'Connor, the duo made their debut in 2021 with Welcome To America, following a long creative relationship on prior artistic endeavours. With a string of singles under their belt, Wilmah have been carving out their own path within New York City's live music scene, and will return to the stage this Friday to support poptropicaslutz! at Bowery Ballroom.
