Emerging Australian musician KANADA THE LOOP has dropped his debut EP, TOYOTA RECKLESS. We caught up with the musician to chat about the release, his artistry and so much more!
Across the release, KANADA THE LOOP effortlessly moulds his own unique sonic realms, bringing together notes of hip-hop, electronica, indie-pop and punk to create an engaging sonic palette that draws the listeners in and takes them on a ride. Lush and textural soundscapes unfurl beneath the musicians melodic flows and simmering vocal performance, as he explores the recklessness of youth and experiences that feed a coming-of-age story. The musician has also shared an official visual for the EP's latest single, Cali4nia.
Once anonymous, KANADA THE LOOP is the musical project of Luritja artist, Brice Young. Having made his debut in 2021 with ZOOM IN, KANADA THE LOOP was shrouded in mystery behind a platinum blonde wig, which was soon left behind to instead showcase his true artistry and vision. Set to support Sydney four-piece Triple One on their A Dangerous Method Tour, the musician recently wrapped up a run of headline shows in Wollongong, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, which included seven showcases at BIGSOUND.
