Sydney-based songstress ILUKA recently released her long-awaited debut album, Queen of Turbulent Hearts. We caught up with the singer ahead of her east coast tour to chat about the record, her artistry, performing live and so much more!
The dynamic release continues the singers indie-pop sonic exploration, fusing together her vast trove of influences to create a scintillating listening experience simmering beneath her enchanting vocals. With production from 2x Emmy nominated Aron Forbes (Billie Eilish, Finneas, Halsey, Banks), the album brings raw and intimate lyricism, laced with moments of resistance and self-empowerment and she pushes through the trials to celebrate the ups and downs of life that when bound together, feed into our human experiences.
Having just wrapped up a national tour supporting collaborators Lime Cordiale, ILUKA will be hitting the road on her own headline tour in support of the album. Kicking off in Melbourne on June 17, the run of shows will continue on to Sydney on June 24, before wrapping up in Brisbane on June 25. Tickets are on sale now!
