Brisbane singer-songwriter Hope D has treated us with the release of her debut album, Clash of the Substance. We caught up with the singer to chat about the release, her artistry, touring and more!
Across the body of work, Hope D presents a coming-of-age story as she navigates the transitionary period of life in your early twenties. Laced with honest and conversational lyricism, she explores love, heartbreak, addiction and more, taking listeners on an emotional rollercoaster as she goes through the motions. Leaning into rock-based influences, blistering soundscapes produced by Aidan Hogg unfurl beneath Hope's captivating vocal performances. The release is heralded by a brand new single, the heartbreak anthem Doormat.
The singer will be hitting the road on a national tour, supported Asha Jefferies and The Dandys. Kicking off in Melbourne on March 24, the run of shows will continue on to Sydney, Perth and Adelaide, before wrapping up with a hometown show in Brisbane on April 6. Tickets are on sale now!
