Colorado-born techno sensation Disco Lines has hit Australia, bringing his magnetic live show down under! We caught up with the artist in Sydney to chat about his latest single Baby Girl, remixing some of his favourite tunes, Taylor Swift and so much more!
The musical project of Thadeus Labuszewski, the musician earned a legion of fans with his up tempo and dance ready remixes of classic tunes, with his unofficial remix of Taylor Swift’s seminal classic, Love Story, catapulting Disco Lines to new heights. Labuszewski followed up the success of the remix with original tracks, including All I Want Is You, Who Do You Love? and TECHNO + TEQUILA.
Upon signing with Arista Records last year, the musician unveiled his latest offering, Baby Girl. The simmering dance-floor banger has already hit over 55M streams globally, and continues Labuszewski exploration of EDM-meets-house sonics. The tracks bright and engaging soundscape unfurls beneath ear-worm melodies, capturing all the fun and joyous of a night out with friends. Having started creating the track whilst waiting to board a flight to his hometown, the songs visual offers a glimpse inside the musicians mind with colourful and frenzied imagery shown throughout the clip, before Labuszewski turns the airplane into a party land.
Having touched down on Australian shores for the first time, Disco Lines kicked off his tour with a headline set at Melbourne's Coastal Jam Festival late last month. The musician then crossed the Tasman to perform at Hidden Valley Festival in New Zealand, before returning to Australia for headline shows in Canberra and Sydney, as well as an appearance at NYD Foam Party in Queensland. Labuszewski will wrap up the tour with two more performances, taking to the stage in Cairns City tonight and the Gold Coast tomorrow.
