The boys of BUSINESS recently unveiled their debut EP, Like You, recorded in the bands garage-turned-studio with just one microphone. We caught up with the Gold Coast three piece to chat about the EP, performing live,
Made up of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Elijah Hughes, guitarist and bassist Regan Hickey, and drummer Callum Watson, BUSINESS have already been working away at forming their own way, proving themselves as not only talented musicians, but also bringing a zesty approach to their releases.
The EP documents the bands exploration of sound, navigating the sonics of pop, indie and surf-rock, to arrive at their own amalgamation of the genres, across inviting soundscapes. Across each track, the three-piece bring conversational and relatable lyricism, using the five tracks as vehicles to share stories that resonate with their listeners.
Serving as the EP's final single, Just Like Always reflects on a past relationship, building up to a distorted sing-a-long chorus. Creating rich peaks and valleys through loud a glistening chorus paired with pulled back verses, the song is another dynamic release from the trio, exhibiting their musicianship and songwriting skills.
