Harvey M has officially burst onto the scene with his AA-Side, Love Songs. Featuring the tracks You Know That I Love You and Love I Give, the release serves as an introduction to the artists early naughties inspired approach to dance music.
“The feel-good positivity of the early 2000’s dance world has me absolutely buzzing at the moment. I wanted to channel the way this era makes me feel. I've been paying keen attention to this moment in time which I believe to be grossly underrated and commonly overlooked.” Harvey M shares You Know That I Love You. He adds of the inspiration for Love I Give, “There are a couple of sounds that echo similarities to ‘Pure Shores’. I reinforced those same feelings of sunshine, water and positivity by scattering wave and whale sounds throughout the track as well.”
Transporting you to the beaches of Greece, or the coastline of Croatia, Love Songs is the perfect way to kick off summer with simmering production that will have you grooving all night long. Weaving in nostalgic sonic threads with contemporary notes, the dual release offers up two sides to the same coin, with the deep house banger You Know That I Love You perfectly complimenting the more breezy Love I Give.
Setting out to create the perfect tracks for your summer, and succeding, Harvey M notes, "These elements were often expressed in summer dance music compilations that I listened to as a kid. They remain a strong reference for not only the music I make but the way I choose to live my life."
