Halloween Hysteria 2021 is back with a massive and spooky line-up, returning this October to take over Mansfield Tavern. Headlined by Australian alt-rock royalty Spiderbait, the event will showcase a bevy of Aussie heavy music acts, both emerging and established. The chart-topping, multi-platinum selling, twice-ARIA award winning alt-rock trio became the first ever Aussie band to win the JJJ Hottest 100. Bringing even more star power for the evening will be bright shining alt-metal stalwarts Mammal, and insano-thrash devil-beasts King Parrot, making their second appearance at the festival.
Funk-metallers Mammal have been smashing pinatas and moving bodies on the dance floor since March 2006, selling out shows across the country and across the world. Back from hiatus in 2017, Mammal will be blasting out a special set sure to set ears and hearts ablaze. Kerrang! KING PARROT are celebrating their tenth anniversary as a metal band—and jeez they’ve had a good decade. With three massive albums under their bullet belts (including one produced by Pantera legend Philip H. Anselmo) and legions of fans up and down this Great Southern Land, these lads are non-stop thrash monsters.
In addition to these huge headliners, Halloween Hysteria features 29 bands spanning every heavy genre including modern metal (Flaming Wrekage, From Crisis To Collapse), ‘core of every hardness and deathness (Stepson, DisKust, Gravemind, Captives), stoner jams (Black Rheno, Hammers), horns n’ beer raising rock (JJ Speedball, Smoking Martha, RedHook), old school thrash (Harlott), tripped out punk rock (Something Something Explosion, These New South Whales), Brizzy supergroups (Total Pace), and raucous punk (Flangipanis, FANGZ, We Set Signals).
