Gabriel Garzón-Montano has followed up the release of his 2020 album Agüita with a new remix EP, dubbed Agüita EP I. The release is championed by the title tracks remix, featuring Sampa The Great and Amber Mark.
Speaking of the new mix, Garzón-Montano shares: "This Agüita remix is special. Sampa and Amber came with their magic in usual form. Estoy muy agradecido a estas reinas por este remix. Un aguacero."
Amber Mark explains: “I was speechless in absolute amazement when GGM played me the ‘Agüita’ demo years ago. He literally can tap into any sound he’s feeling and make it sound amazing. ‘Agüita’ is my motivational anthem; I’m so honored and excited that I get to be a part of this one.” Sampa The Great added: "It’s always amazing to be able to connect across cultures and languages with music! Agüita is one of those dope songs that does that and it was amazing being part of this remix.”
Agüita saw Garzón-Montano offer a diverse body of work, featuring trap anthems to string-drenched art-pop ballads. Navigating his own personal journey, the release centres around three characters that constitute his personality: the debonair leading man, the wistful impressionist and the Latin Urbano hitmaker.
