Watch our interview with Forest Claudette below!
Alt-R&B singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Forest Claudette has unveiled their sophomore EP, Everything Was Green. We caught up with the musician one year on from our first interview to chat about the body of work, their evolution and so much more!
On his latest offering, Claudette delved deeper into their dynamic fusion of RNB, pop, hip-hip and rap, creating a sonic boiling pot of influences that oozes with charisma and stellar craftsmanship. Textural and dynamic soundscapes unfurl beneath Claudette's smooth and captivating performance, darting between a melodic flow and soulful melodies. Vibrant and storytelling lyricism simmers above, as the musician documents the 'cycle of thoughts and life' over the past four years. Love, heartbreak, systemic injustice and self-appreciation are central themes explored within the collection of songs.
Having sold-out headline shows earlier this year and toured alongside ARIA-Award-winning and multi-platinum Australian artist Ruel, Claudette will return to the stage next month supporting Lastlings on their Perfect World national tour. Kicking off on June 30 at the Forum in Melbourne, the run of shows will continue on to Brisbane and Sydney, before wrapping up in Perth on July 15. Tickets are on sale now!
