English musician Finn Askew has dropped his new single, Adidas. Taken from his forthcoming EP, the track follows up a string of singles from the musician, including Cherry Bomb.
The genre-bending release offers a different side to Askew, continuing his fusion of R&B and bedroom-pop whilst weaving in rolling guitar riffs. The hook-heavy chorus will be ringing in your head for days, and arrives alongside an official visualiser.
Speaking of the track Askew Shares: “I wanted to make a song where after the first listen the listener would be able to sing back the chorus word for word, I feel like I accomplished that with Adidas! It’s a proper earworm. It’s also the first song I’ve released with my producer congee! he’s one of my favourite people to work with & this is the first of many bangers we have in the locker! I’m super excited about this song, I wrote it nearly 3 years ago so it’s about time the world heard it!”
Hailing from the sleepy market town of Somerset in the UK, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter continues to raise the bar with each release, the singer draws on his childhood and early exploration of all things music within his songwriting. Cherry Bomb is just the first taste of what is in store for Askew in 2021.
Adidas is out now! Listen to the track below.
