Melbourne duo FancyNormal are keeping the hits coming, with the release of their new single FIASCO. Following on from their Ultra Passion: Staycations remix EP, are bringing 80's Madonna vibes recontextualised into a modern, nostalgia drenched soundscape.

Playing out atop sparkling synth-pop sonics, the track is all about looking at that toxic love in the rearview mirror and leaving behind all the baggage of a relationship that no longer sparks joy. Made up of Noni and Jules, the duo bring serve up scintillating production, with Noni's divine vocals taking centre stage on the power-bop ballad. Try not to dance when you're pumping FIASCO from your lockdown lounge room party.

Speaking of the release, the duo share: “it’s not an anti-lovesong per se, but more of an anti-rose-coloured-glasses view of what a real relationship looks like.”

Just one year into their collaborative project, Noni and Jules joined forces during the COVID-19 pandemic, bring together their classical musical training to produce pop bangers. Having dropped their debut EP, Starters and Appetizers, earlier this year, this is just the beginning for the dynamic duo.
