Gold Coast/Yugambeh Country-based artist Eimhin has treated us with the release of his ethereal new single, She Met My Eyes.
Dulcet guitar melodies glisten throughout the track, rippling within sparse and atmospheric production that builds towards a moving chorus. The musicians lulling vocals evoke an intimacy that invites the listener in to a tender space as he navigates the demise of a relationship and the pain of holding on, brought to life by introspective and heartbreaking lyricism.
"It's about the liminal period in a relationship when you’re still in denial that things are falling apart. Instead of facing the truth you find yourself placating each other, you still say 'I love you' but it doesn’t feel the same in your heart. You’re still planning for the future, but that future is no longer a reality, at least not with one another." Eimhin shares.
Yugambeh/Gold Coast-based fans will get the chance to see the musician perform the track at his She Met My Eyes single launch at Dust Temple on November 18. Supported by Emily Grace Taylor, tickets are on sale now!
