Dark-pop artist CXLOE has unveiled her new single, New Trick. Written by the singer alongside Xavier Dunn, Jess Kent, Charley, Georgia Denton and Rory Adams, with production from Dunn, the singer embraces revitalised confidence, and letting go of the fears that stifle our confidence.
The release arrives alongside an official visual, directed by Liam Pethick. Filmed within the sandy horizons of Cronulla, NSW, we meet a troupe of dancers bringing their own individuality and flair, with the singer herself showing a new side.
Speaking of the track, CXLOE shares: "New Trick is all about newfound, unapologetic confidence. Unfortunately, we often find ourselves in situations where we are suppressing feelings and hiding oneself in fear of being persecuted. The song talks about finally letting go of that fear and embracing confidence and individuality. Often, this brave trait doesn't come naturally to most people, so when it does, it only feels best to describe it as a New Trick.”
Following on from the release of her debut EP, Heavy Part I, the singer performed to sold-out crowds across Sydney and Melbourne, before joining The Veronicas on their Human V Godzilla Tour.
