Alt-pop artist Carlie Hanson has dropped her empowering new track, Fuck Your Labels. The track is set to feature on the singers debut album Tough Boy, due out next month, alongside the previously released singles Snot, Off My Neck and Gucci Knife.
Heralded by Hanson's electric vocal performance, the track shuns the projections and opinions of others and the harsh judgement we face on a daily basis, be that from people within our own lives or strangers on the internet. The track continues the singers signature punk-based sonics, building to a boisterous and anthemic chorus.
“Fuck Your Labels is a rallying cry for anyone who feels like they’ve been thrown into any kind of box or judged because they don’t fit ‘societal norms.’ I wrote it about just being fed up with being labeled a certain way by people who are too stubborn to open up their minds,” Hanson says of the track.
Making her return last year with Off ,y Neck, the singer has two EP's under her belt, 2019's Junk and 2020's DestroyDestroyDestroyDestroy. Hanson has toured the world, performing alongside Lauv, Troye Sivan, Yungblud across the US, Europe and Australia
