American singer, songwriter Briston Maroney has shared his live album Sunflower: Live From Third Man Records. Recorded and filmed at Jack White’s Nashville recording studios, the release offers an intimate glimpse into the musicians live shows.
Produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen), Maroney collaborated with the likes of Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull and venerated songwriter Dan Wilson (Leon Bridges, Adele, The Chicks) when writing for Sunflower. Recorded through late 2019 and early 2020 in Los Angeles, the album documents the musicians life over the past decade. Created by Maroney and longtime visual collaborator Joey Brodnax, the record arrived alongside a feature length film, sharing the story of Sunflower.
The musician has also shared the seventh and final episode of his podcast series, The Bottle Rocket Company Podcast. Wrapping up with special guest and Sunflower producer John Congleton previous episodes have featured interviews with other artists and collaborators lent their talents to the record, including Dan Wilson and Andy Hull (Manchester Orchestra).
