Watch our interview with Northeast Party House below!
Our favourite Melbourne hitmakers, Northeast Party House have delivered their new banger, Brain Freeze. We caught up with band members Zachary Hamilton-Reeves and Mitch Ansell to chat about the release, their forthcoming tour and so much more!
The textural track finds the six-piece at their best, offering a carefully crafted soundscape full of dynamic twists and turns. Luring you onto the dance floor, simmering production pulses beneath Hamilton-Reeves' compelling vocals, with the song fusing together alt-rock sensibilities with pumping beats. Heralded by a hooky electric guitar riff, Brain Freeze is sure to get you moving.
Kicking off at Northcote Theatre in Naarm / Melbourne on May 2, the Brain Freeze tour will continue on to Meanjin / Brisbane's Princess Theatre, Tardanya / Adelaide's The Gov and Waylyup / Fremantle's Freo Social, before wrapping up at Warrang / Sydney's Metro Theatre. Warming up the crowd each night will be in-demand Melbourne DJ/producer DAWS with special guests in each city yet to be announced. The band are also set to appear at Wine Machine in Canberra and Victoria, and will take to the stage at Dream Machine in Bali this June and Snow Machine in Queenstown this September.
