Known for his roles as Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia and General Kirigan in Netflix's Shadow and Bone, Ben Barnes has made his foray into music, sharing his debut release 11:11. The song is set to appear on the singers forthcoming debut EP, Songs For You, due out next month.

Bringing Michael Bublé vibes to the track, 11:11 introduces us to Barnes' sonic exploration, weaving together threads of soul-pop, jazz and traditional pop into one joyous soundscape. The love song is an ode to true love and the sacrifices we may take to put that special someone first. Floating above jazzy piano, sparkling guitars and flourishing piccolo trumpets, Barnes' smooth and captivating vocals take centre stage, showcasing another side of this talented, multi-faceted artist.

Speaking of the track, Barnes shares: “I’m fascinated in acting by the duality of people, and that we all have the capacity to feel everything and more than one emotion at a time. I feel that way too about my songs. Even if they seem to be about one thing, I’m interested in conflicting emotion and transitional feelings…the in-between. ‘11:11’ is about real love; the kind of love where you would give up all your wishes for the one you love to feel whole…even if it costs you, even if they can’t ‘be yours.’”

The release arrives alongside an official visual, directed by Lee Toland Krieger, and starring Evan Rachel Wood. We follow Barnes and Wood throughout their day, arriving at a heritage theatre, where Barnes puts his love on show.

Songs For You is out October 15. Watch the visual for 11:11 below.
