Brisbane musician Andy Martin has today shared his first release of the year, Live. Breathe.

Love. Me.

Made complete with distorted guitar chords and fast-paced drums, the uplifting track showcases Martin's commanding vocals and enthralling lyricism, all wrapped into a carefree, feel good anthem. The track navigates the musicians own headspace, taking listeners on a journey through his own introspective thoughts.

Speaking of the track, the musician shares: “I wrote this song right in the middle of the pandemic that shocked the nation last year. I was in a poor headspace that I couldn’t get out of, so I decided to write about exactly how I was feeling. Originally this was an acoustic pop track, that further developed into what you’re hearing today. I am so proud of this song. It shows how I have evolved as a songwriter over the last few years. If you want to dance, cry, laugh or hold somebody, this one’s for you (so everyone!).”

Formerly fronting indie-rock band HANDLES, Martin has stepped out on his own and is currently under the mentorship of Powderfinger guitarist Ian Haug. Receiving training as a trumpet player, the musician has performed with internationally acclaimed brass bands as well as played leads in various musicals.
