Multi-platinum award winning artist has dropped her new single, The Biggest Dick, alongside the announcement of her fourth studio album, Soft Pop. We caught up with the singer to chat about both releases, her acting debut in Beast, and were there to capture the first time she held a Soft Pop vinyl.
In this new era, Shark is stepping into new territory, heralded by The Biggest Dick. Setting the albums tone, the track leans into the messy aftermath of heartbreak, but instead of wallowing, it reframes recovery through small, everyday victories: morning coffees, blue skies, and the quiet relief of moving forward. The songs visual shows Shark as she cycles through the Gold Coast, emphasising the power of when lightness slowly returns following heartbreak.
Written entirely by Shark, Soft Pop is an exercise of focused introspection and exploring new sonic terrain. Recorded with longtime producer Dann Hume, they challenged themselves to build emotion in unconventional ways; leaning on instrumentation, vocal hooks and inventive production instead of the familiar punch of drums.
