Brisbane alt-pop duo Alta Falls have made their debut with their single, Take Me Down. Fusing together a variety of influences, the pair put their own spin on the indie genre, bringing melodic hooks and soaring harmonies atop a synth driven soundscape.
“We recorded this song in 2020 when it felt like the world was pulling in multiple directions all at once, and the divide was getting bigger, wider, and deeper," he duo share of the track. The song asks, “How did we all get so sure about things, and get so stuck in our own heads that we can't even see things from someone else's perspective? What if there was a world where people saw things from the other side?”
Having spent the last twelve months working on their sound, the duo took a deep dive exploring the social and global landscapes brought to light by the pandemic. Alta Falls have joined forces with producer Aidan Hogg (Jaguar Jonze, Holy Holy) and Sebastian Jennings Hingston (Tia Gostelow) on drums, to make their mark on the subjects in the form of song.
