Watch our full interview with San Cisco!
We caught up with Jordi Davieson and Scarlett Stevens of San Cisco whilst they were in town to chat about their current national tour, the importance of live music, their latest album 'Between You and Me' and so much more!
Having dropped last year, the band were robbed of the chance to perform the Top 5 ARIA album Between You and Me due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, their long awaited return to the stage is finally here, with the band currently embarking on their extensive national tour, bringing along Jaguar Jonze for every stop.
Kicking off last month Coolangatta, the three-piece have already taken to the stage in Sydney and Wollongong, with the tour set to continue on to Frankston, Brisbane, Birtinya, Adelaide, Canberra, Newcastle, Torquay and Hobart, before wrapping the tour up in Melbourne.
The run of shows marks the first opportunity San Cisco have had to test out their latest material in the live arena, with Davieson telling MILKY: "We weren't able to play new songs that we were releasing and get direct feedback from an audience to see like what was hitting home and what kind of missed the mark. And so we're only really starting to get that now, which has like, yeah which has been a bit strange for me personally. But that's also why I've been loving sort of getting back on the road, because I feel like I'm completing that circle of a record cycle, getting ready to make a new one.
Between You and Me is the fourth album by the indie trio from Fremantle released in late 2020. It was an album two years and at least one sadly remembered love affair in the making. Featuring the singles When I Dream, Skin, Reasons and‘On The Line, the records main conceptual thread is the story of loss and letting go.
