Brit Award winning artist, producer and designer Griff has teamed up with Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid to deliver their simmering collaboration, Head on Fire. We caught up with Griff to chat about the release, finding her own empowerment as a woman within the industry, her touring plans and so much more!
Delivering a slice of pop-goodness, the song arrives after the formidable songwriters friendship blossomed online. They soon shared some pizza at a fashion show, and the rest is history. The feel-good track captures the longing for human connection and how that want to be together can conjure a physical and emotional reaction that feels like you're losing your mind. Built atop bubbling production, the is accompanied by an official visual, directed by CC Wade, and just took home the award for Best Collaboration at the BandLab NME Awards 2022.
Last year, Griff made history as the the first female artist to go top 5 with a mixtape with One Foot In Front Of The Other, following her win at the 2021 BRIT Awards where she took home the award for Rising Artist. The self-taught producer soon hit the road for her debut live shows, and followed up the mixtape with One Night.
Griff is making up for lost time, embarking on her own headline tour, as well as supporting global superstar Dua Lipa on the European run of her Future Nostalgia tour. The singer teased to MILKY she hopes to make it down under for a string of performances later this year, which would mark her first visit to Australia.
