A MOMENT WITH BEN ABRAHAM

Watch our interview with Ben Abraham below!

Award-winning Australian singer-songwriter Ben Abraham has treated fans with the release of sophomore record, Friendly Fire. We caught up with the musician to chat about the record, baring honesty across the collection of songs, collaborating with other artists and more!

Across the honest and vulnerable body of work, Abraham explores and documents an uneasy time within his own personal life, dissecting his own loss of faith and journey to self-discovery. Arriving eight years after his debut album Sirens, the musician brings an even more refined sonic palette, leaning into singer-songwriter guitar and piano led acoustics, exisiting within pop-based production. Abraham's introspective and vivid story telling lyricism is laced throughout, pulling on your heartstrings as he sings of love lost, his sexuality, spirituality and the hope of new beginnings.

Abraham's 2014 debut album Sirens, was met with critical acclaim, which prompted a re-issue in 2016 which featured collaborations with Sara Bareilles and Gotye. Since then, the musician has gone on to write alongside some of the biggest names in contemporary music, most notably co-writing Kesha’s RIAA-certified double-platinum, Grammy Award-winning smash hit Praying.
