Malaysian artist Lunadira has hit our shores for a string of Australian performances. To celebrate, the singer has shared with MILKY five things she's most looking forward to experience during her time down under.
The singer will kick off her Australian tour tonight, taking to the stage at Bigsound. From there, Lunadira will hit Outpost Brisbane at The Tivoli tomorrow night, before heading to Sydney to perform at Sydney Fringe Festival this Saturday, September 7. The singer made her Australian debut late last year at SXSW Sydney, following her appearance at SXSW Austin.
VISITING AUSTRALIA ZOO
It’s been a while since my bandmates and I visited a zoo so we thought that we would check out some animals native to Australia while we’re here and witness the Irwin family’s legacy!
PLAYING A SHOW WITH MY FRIENDS
I’m lucky to be able to travel with my friends and perform at shows outside of our usual circuit so playing 3 shows is super exciting! I'm playing at Sydney Fringe Festival, Big Sound Australia and Concrete & Grass Festival is going to be a special one.
COFFEE
We heard that Australia’s the best city for coffee snobs and half of our band comes from a barista background so we’re definitely trying out different cafes every morning
WALKING AROUND THE CITY IN THE WEATHER
Nothing beats amazing urban planning especially when you come from a country (Malaysia) that requires you to drive everywhere. We might even sneak in a cheeky run by the river while we’re in Brisbane
MUSIC SCENE
One thing that I love about touring is the chance to check out musical acts that we might not be able to catch back at home, and I’m excited to see what the Australian music scene is all about!
Jangan Biar is out now!
