Perth/Boorloo indie-pop artist EDIE has shared her biting new single, Villain, alongside an official visual directed and produced by Stephanie Senior. To celebrate, the singer has shared with MILKY five things she learnt whilst filming the clip.

"Villain explores post-heartbreak frustration and the selfish desire for your ex to feel the same pain as you do. This song highlights how sometimes you have to make someone the villain to be able to move on." the singer shares.

PRETEND LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING

I think when I went into filming I forgot how many people are actually behind the scenes. When I watch music videos it feels just like the camera and the artist but in reality there are so many people in the room with you! So I had to pretend no one was there in order to fully commit and not get embarrassed!

FAKE BLOOD IS MESSY

Fake blood is so messy and gets absolutely everywhere! Also it doesn’t taste as nice as I thought it would. It was so sticky but I kinda wish I could wear it all the time because it weirdly looks so cool…

RED BULL IS MY BEST FRIEND

Filming was so much fun but also so long! One night we ran until around 4am and I was exhausted. Redbull definitely saved me as well as lots more caffeine and lots of unhealthy snacks!

CAMERA PEOPLE ARE SO TALENTED

Most of the time I was sitting around observing the most incredible people in their zone. I had no idea what they were talking about or what they were doing half the time but then when I’d see clips from the video my jaw dropped!

VAMPIRES ARE AMAZING

Creating a vampire music video was an absolute dream and basically just confirmed to me how obsessed with vampires I am! And I want to be one or have a vampire lover is it too much to ask?!
