Too Strung is out now!

Aotearoa indie-folk artist Solomon Crook has unveiled his new single, Too Strung. To celebrate the release, The musician has shared with MILKY three ways he grounds himself in the midst of uncertainty, through music and mind.

“It’s a yearning for freedom,” Crook shares of the song, “a call to nature to untangle the knots my mind ties itself in.” The single is a part of a 7-track EP titled Beneath The Morning Tree set for release on the 3rd of July.

BRIAN ENO - AN ENDING (ASCENT)

Find a seat somewhere comfortable. Close my eyes. Connect with my breath, the inhale and exhale. Notice the parts of the breath, the sensations, be intrigued. As thoughts pull me away, gently bring myself back to the breath.

JON HOPKINS - RECOVERY

Just before bed, take a moment to think of one thing I am grateful for. Hold this object, moment, person, experience (whatever it is) in my mind and give it more detail. Allow myself to feel this gratitude and appreciation, and notice how it makes my experience feel more light and clear. As I fall asleep, let that feeling take me away.

EAST FOREST - ACCORD

Find a place outside where I can lye on the grass. Feel the earth beneath me. Let go into the earth, as if it is holding and surrounding me. With each breath release a little more, any parts of my body that feel tense or are holding. Appreciate the earth - its solidity, stability and all it gives me.
