Wollongong based musician Warbaby has just dropped the second single from his debut EP, SONGS FOR THE LIVING.
The track, Song To Sleep To, is another instrumental track that continues the Western theme threaded throughout the EP. The song is a mellow pared back piece with soothing guitar melodies that are sure to lull listeners into a calming mindset.
Starting off with the cowboy spaghetti Western influences prevalent on Cowboys Escape, the EP begins to shift, focusing on softer sounds, slowing down from the faster pace in which SONGS FOR THE LIVING kicks off with. This turn in pace is exhibited on Song To Sleep To, with the musician showing the contrasting sides of the EP through the single releases.
The lack of lyrical content doesn’t phase Warbaby. He is constantly aware of what he wants to bring to each track. We spoke to the artist earlier this month, where he stated: “I’ve always got in my mind something you’d want to listen to while you’re trying to fall asleep, or you’re just driving to the beach or something and you just wanna chuck that on.”
