THOMAS HEADON SHARES NEW SINGLE ‘URBANANGEL1999'

Singer, songwriter and producer Thomas Headon has shared his quirky new track, UrbanAngel1999. The song navigates a one sided, online relationship, taking its title from screen names found in online chat rooms and gaming services.

Of the release, Headon shares: "UrbanAngel1999 is something stylistically that I’ve wanted to create for a long time. It’s a story about a one sided, online relationship. A lot of the songs I’ve released recently are all attention based, or more lack of. Urban Angel is exactly that but more once you’ve established the relationship with someone and it starts to go downhill. I’m not usually a story-songwriter, but this came out of me really quickly and I’m super happy with it".

The accompanying music video, directed by Headon himself, takes on a retro aesthetic with the singer using a vintage computer, Nintendo Game Boy and everyones favourite slide-open mobile phone. It's reminiscent of Hilary Duff (aka 'Princeton Girl') talking to Chad Michael Murray (aka 'Nomad') via chat rooms in the 2004 film, A Cinderella Story. The clip even comes with online 8-bit avatars of Headon and UrbanAngel1999. If all this wasn’t enough, Harry Styles makes an appearance via cut-out board.

The 22 year old moved from London to Melbourne at the age of 5. Throughout his teenage years, Headon shared cover songs to YouTube, where he build a dedicated, international fanbase.
