All-female Sydney four-piece The Buoys are kicking off your week with their new single, Lie To Me Again. The track is set to appear on the bands forthcoming EP, Unsolicited Advice For Your DIY Disaster, due out this October.
Produced by Fletcher Matthews (Sweater Curse, CLEWS, Dear Seattle) and mixed by Robby De Sa (MAY-A, Gretta Ray), the roaring track places front woman Zoe Catterall's fiery vocals on full display, whilst navigating a relationship that grows apart and is tainted with distrust.
“I’d written it only a few days before when I found out my partner was dating someone else the whole duration of our relationship and left me to be with them. It was really cathartic being able to piece it all together with my closest friends and do the song justice,” Catterall explains. “I’d written the vocals over guitar and shared it last minute not expecting anything from it and it quickly became our favourite track when we added everyone’s instruments in.”
Lie To Me is out now! Listen to the track below.
