Melbourne producer Soft Powder is gearing up to drop his new single, Close Your Eyes. If you’re hanging to see the visual, you can watch the songs music video right here on MILKY before its release!

Working once again with filmmaker and collaborator David Tse, the nostalgia-fuelled clip takes its inspiration from the work of Asian Cinema luminaries including Wong Kar Wai and Hou Hsiao-hsien. Stitching together clips filmed at an airport, the songs visual welcomes new beginnings whilst reflecting on the past experiences that brought you to new crossroads.

“David and I really wanted the video to convey the melancholic and somber mood of the song, whilst also capturing the nostalgic and sentimental atmosphere created in the Hong Kong and Taiwanese New Wave cinema we love." the musician shares.

"We really wanted to film in an airport because airports conjure up all of these moods due to being a place where some people leave past lives behind whilst some people begin new chapters. There’s a lot of sentimental energy associated with airports, and they’re a place that conjures up all of these feelings of nostalgia, hope, excitement, but also regret and sadness.”
