Perth four-piece Sixth Avenue are gearing up to release their new single, Bleach. If you can't wait to give the track a spin, you can listen to the song right here on MILKY!
Bringing together threads of indie-rock and emo-punk, the track is built on glistening guitar lines and driving percussion, whilst frontman Joel Bellesini's early 2000's punk-inspired vocal performance stomp above. The track documents the lingering emotions of hurt and anger following a breakup, juxtaposing the songs brighter sonic exploration.
“Bleach is one of our favourite tracks off the new EP, it’s always such a good time playing it”, lead singer Joel Bellesini says. “It’s actually lyrically quite angry and spiteful (after all, it is a breakup song) but all the while is able to channel a really uplifting energy to it at the same time”
The band are currently in the midst of their readmymind tour, which has visited Fremantle and Bunbury, and seen the four-piece take to the stage at Homegrown Music Festival. The band will wrap up the run of shows this Friday at Six Degrees in Albany.
