Emerging electro DJ Vocalist DÉ SAINT is set to make her debut, with the release of her single, Fever, due out tomorrow. If you’re like us and can’t wait, listen to the song right here on MILKY before its release!
Taken from her forthcoming debut EP, Girl DJ, the track fuses together the musicians multi-faceted influences of dance, dub, jazz and funk sound. Itching to be played on the dance floor, the song is built upon analogue bass lines with masterfully twisted and re-edited original soul vocals.
Speaking of the track to MILKY, the musician shares: "Fever was not planned to be a single, it was set as one of the 6 tracks off my debut EP Girl DJ. However COVID hit, we went into lockdown and production grounded to a halt. Not being able to access the studio (which was only kilometres away) made it extremely challenging. Fever was my saving grace as it was the only track that didn’t require me to be in the studio physically, so during this lockdown I had time to sit with it, explore more ideas, adding the live bass really gave it a new life, so basically Fever turned itself into a single and I’m super happy about it. "
Since 2013 DÉ SAINT has been working as a singer songwriter in France and Germany, performing live gigs with DJ’s at house parties and clubs. Upon her return to Australia, DÉ SAINT quickly grew to be the first pick DJ for high end brand giants that brought on work with personages names like Chanel, LouisVuitton, Google, Vogue, Rolex, YouTube, Maserati, Moët and many many more. Now in her sixth year as a musical director, creating soundscapes for brand campaigns and runway shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, DÉ SAINT has been working tirelessly to coin her own unique sound.
