Brisbane’s indie-pop group Action Slacks are gearing up to release their debut EP, Voids, set to drop this Thursday. If you can’t wait to give it a spin, listen to the EP right here on MILKY before its release!
Navigating toxic relationships, heartbreak and unrequited love, the release fuses together vibrant synth-pop soundscapes with groove-drenched rhythms. Speaking of the EP, Levi Russell shares: "The initial concept behind the EP was for us to take on as much of the production and recording ourselves, which was somewhat a natural progression for the band, but also a necessity due to the nature of the last 12 months. The process forced us to dig deeper into aspects of the production than we had previously, allowing us to expand on ideas further and take time to let the songs fully develop."
The four-piece are set to hit the road this month in support of the release, performing on the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Brisbane. Along for the ride are BUSINESS, Bligh, Monsters Up North, Mantell, Sapphire Street, and Dolly Zoom.
