American musician Faye Webster is back with the release of her fourth studio album, I Know I’m Funny haha. To celebrate the release, Webster has curated an exclusive playlist for MILKY, full of some of her favourite tracks and dubbed Friends, Discoveries and Heroes.

Featuring the likes of Japanese Breakfast, Crumb, Arlo Parks, Blake Mills, Hannah Cohen and more, the selection of tracks is the perfect blend of emerging and established artists.

I Know I’m Funny haha follows the musicians breakthrough and Secretly Canadian debut Atlanta Millionaires Club. Sonically, the record takes its inspiration from a variety of diverse genres, from the lap-steel singer-songwriter pop and good old fashioned country music, to the R&B and rap music that lives vibrantly in her home town. The album also navigates towards a happier state of being, with the musician having not only reached new audiences, but fallen in love since the release of Atlanta Millionaires Club.

“This record is coming from a less lonely place,” Webster says of I Know I’m Funny haha, which finds her sound fuller, brighter, and more confident. “When I wrote AMC, I was living by myself and on some don’t-know-what-to-do-with-my-own-time type shit. But now I’m living with my partner; I’m happy most of the time. I’m in such a different place. These songs aren’t necessarily happier, but it’s a different vibe.”

I Know I’m Funny haha is out now! Listen to Fay Webster's Friends, Discoveries and Heroes playlist above.
