Bloodlines have announced an Australian exclusive pressing of Rowland S. Howard’s debut solo album, Teenage Snuff Film, on aqua and black dust vinyl. Pressed on 160g vinyl, it is a 3-sided double album with an illustration by the late singer on Side D.
After a sell-out reissue of the iconic post-punk album on black vinyl earlier this year, the re-mastered edition was the first time the album had become available in a number of years. The record was recorded in Melbourne with Howard’s longtime collaborators Mick Harvey and Brian Hooper.
Considered to be one of the most acclaimed and influential Australian releases during the 1990’s, the singer paved his own emotionally intense sonic language. Howard had an extensive career, having been a founding member of The Young Charlatans in his youth, later working with Nick Cave and Mick Harvey in The Boys Next Door and The Birthday Party, followed by These Immortal Souls and Crime & The City Solution. Howard passed away in 2009 after battling liver cancer.
