Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Lucy Lorenne is keeping the tracks coming, sharing her new single Dear New Lover.

Co-written with guitarist Josh Whitty, the song continues the singers exploration of indie-folk sonics, with subtle notes of psychedelic guitar melodies woven throughout. Lorenne's lucid vocals soar above delicate production, showcasing the shade and tones of her vocals. Laced with storytelling lyricism, the singer ponders on a past love, urging their new lover to hold on tight and not repeat her mistake of letting go.

Speaking of the track, the singer shares with MILKY: "The lyrics are directed at the new lover of an old flame, urging them to avoid the same mistake of letting go. It's about not knowing what you've got till it's gone!"

Having always gravitated towards music and songwriting, Lorenne made her debut earlier this year with her single Geneva, following her sold-out debut headline show at Workers Club Fitzroy. The track introduced the world to the singers indie-folk meets rock sonic realm, and serves as the first taste of Lorenne's forthcoming debut EP.
