Sydney duo Barley Passable have dropped their new track Whether Or Not. The release is accompanied by the songs music video, directed by Wesley Mcdonough.
Written during the COVID-19 pandemic, the duo, comprised of Davy Brown and Kai Ollman, found themselves fascinated by the consequences that could follow putting everything on out in the open within a relationship. Whether Or Not was self-recorded and produced in Ollman and Brown’s Northern Beaches home studio.
Of the release, the duo share: "Whether Or Not is a song about the gamble of decision making and not knowing whether you've made the right choice. No matter if it's coming or going, leaving or staying, or knowing whether you are with the right person, the universal feeling leaves you with restless nights and many troubled thoughts. You can either gamble with uncertainty or choose not to roll the dice and risk losing what might be.”
Forming in early 2019, Ollman and Brown joined forces after a mutual distaste of their studies. Taking influence from French Disco and Euro Pop, they spent the next 12 months writing, releasing their debut single All I Have, in June this year.
